An Outside Magazine Editor takes on the 24-hour, three-day, 339-mile adventure relay across Iowa. This is a great look into how the relay works!

Bicyclists from around the world traverse Iowa during RAGBRAI every July, but a lesser-known event in June has participants covering the state’s varied topography in running shoes. This summer was Sheldon native’s second time participating in Relay Iowa, a 339-mile road run that takes teams of runners from one side of Iowa to the other.

Runners from Iowa Air and Army National Guard joined hundreds of others from around the nation for the running of the 2019 Relay Iowa. Relay Iowa is a three day nonstop relay that is hailed as the world’s longest relay.

Friendships formed in 339-mile run from Sioux City to Dubuque. Another first-person experience with this adventure run.

Two local police lieutenants were among a group of law enforcement officers participating in Relay Iowa over the weekend, running for a cause close to their hearts.
